African Art: An introduction.  This book is somewhat academic: but filled with information that can give you a much deeper appreciation of African art and culture. A Short History of African Art.  The hardcover version is 405 pages long; mostly text; with good descriptive photos.      256 pages of fabulous color photographs and detailed stories and descriptions of African Jewelry.  There are also photos and descriptions of Jewelry from other areas; but African Jewelry dominates.  The first half of this book is all African. A true classic. 304 pages of beautiful color photos; and detailed stories of African culture.  I think that this is the most popular book on African Jewelry written.
